Pastor's Message Excerpts
Reference Luke 2, Micah 5, Isaiah 53

Merry Christmas! Let the gospel of Jesus penetrate your mind and soul. We are here today not because Jesus was born but because he defeated death! We are here because of our risen savior!

Sunday December 18, 2005

Pastor's Message Excerpts
The Wonder
Luke 2:1-14

What do you think about churches closing doors on Christmas Day? Not here. Is Christmas family, dinner, presents, holiday from work, observance of a national holiday? No. It is about our salvation we have through Jesus. Christ was born at a certain time and place for a certain reason. Celebrate the wonder of Christmas! The wonder of it all! Bring back the wonder to your heart and to your home. He is the only salvation for us! We are celebrating the King of Kings.

Sunday December 11, 2005

Visiting Preacher
Message Excerpts
Reference Luke2, Psalm 23, Psalm 139

(Pastor Bill was with his ill brother and Brother Tim Webb delivered this morning's message.)

People will travel great distances to see the wonders of this world. Pyramids, Grand Canyons, Niagra Falls, Golden Gate Bridge; God built a bridge with gopher wood and 3 nails. A wondrous plan of salvation. Our gift. Thank God for the gift of Jesus.

Sunday December 4, 2005

Pastor's Message Excerpts
Reference 1John 3:1-3
Celebrate Jesus for Christmas

There are Christians standing up for Jesus publicly! Support them as the name of Jesus is suppressed each Christmas. When the name of Jesus is attacked during Christmas or anytime and we become agitated He always gives grace. We have these opportunities to be generous to others. God's grace is generous but is not a permit to sin. We must have a heart like Jesus and give!

Pastor's Message Excerpts
Staying With Thanksgiving
Reference Psalm 100

Jesus has chosen us! Be joyful! Be excited! Come back! Be renewed! Know your joy with him! Make a joyful noise unto the lord and share his joy with all people! Because of sin God must recreate man at the time of salvation! We are his sheep and the sheep of his pasture! A thankful person is a happy person! Ask; How often do I thank him?

Sunday November 20, 2005

Pastor's Message Excerpts
One Thankful Man
Reference Luke 17

We live an ungrateful life most of the time. Don't forget what it's like to be grateful. Thanksgiving is mentioned in the Bible 140 times. Ten lepers were healed and one returned to say thank you. Leprosy pictures the sinful state of us all. Jesus commends the thankful, are we thankful or thoughtless? Our gracious Lord deserves thanksgiving and praise!

Sunday November 13, 2005

Pastor's Message Excerpts
Thanksgiving Changes Us
Luke 18:9-14

President Lincoln set aside a day of thanksgiving for our nation. A day of gratitude. In this nation we can have it all and no longer rely upon or give thanks to God. Thanksgiving has great curative powers. True thanksgiving leads to thankful living. Are you thankful for salvation, provision, kindness, fellowship? Millions leave church each week unchanged. Don't let it happen to you!

November 6, 2005

Pastor's Message Excerpts
Hebrews 10, Acts 2:41

God forgets sin. Assurance is a word that removes all doubt. We have an assurance of our salvation. We know without a doubt of our salvation. You don't have to waiver in your faith. Hold fast! He is faithful that promised these things. Our confidence, our assurance must be in the finished work of Jesus Christ. We meet together in the same hope! We meet together in anticipation. We can find all comfort in our Lord Jesus!

Pastor's Message Excerpts

Reference Jude

You can know absolute truth! It is right here! How did Israel know God and still not believe? If you turn your back on God there is a judgment! Certain men crept in unaware and spoke evil of dignities. Turning God's grace into lasciviousness. Even the angels left their own habitation in heaven. Know the truth stand in the truth. Your passion must be for the truth.

Sunday October 9, 2005

Pastor's Message Excerpts
God's Love
Matthew 22, John 11

He has to be first! Put His ways first! To live the way He would live! God loves people, We need to learn to love people! Follow the lead of the Holy Spirit in you, in your work, in your home! Sunday October 2, 2005

Pastor's Message Excerpts
What are my options?
Reference John 6

To whom shall we go? Who do we turn to in times of trouble? Jesus has the words of eternal life! God has not made man to be alone. Our faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen. To whom shall we go? Who or What do we turn too? Meet with Him today! Turn to Him today! Recognize Jesus for who he truly is! He will prepare you for eternity!

Sunday September 25, 2005

Pastor's Message Excerpts
Discipleship
Reference Matthew 8, Luke 12, 14, Romans 12, 1Peter 5:2-5

Are we worried about what we have to give up to follow Jesus? Live in the glory of God! God gives us the desire to tell about Him! All belongs to Him! When we take up the cross of Christ we are saying no the the world and yes to Jesus! All conflicting loyalties must be put aside. We must forsake all that we have to be His followers. Love Him above all things! Be encouraged that all who will live in Christ will suffer persecution. Blessed are they that suffer in His name.

Sunday September 18, 2005

Pastor's Message Excerpts
Reference 1Corinthinans 13

If you are loving out of obligation you are failing in love. Without love education is worthless. I can do things out of obligation but without love it is nothing. Jesus loved us even before we loved him! We have all been hurt and we can stop loving the way we should. Be long suffering in your love. Love does not behave badly. Jesus must be first in your marriage! Not your spouse! Not your children! Love suppresses envy. Rejoice in others good fortune.

Sunday September 11, 2005

Pastor's Message Excerpts
Reference 1 John 1, John 15
Read of the fellowship of God's family and the eyewitness accounts of Jesus. We can have the same fellowship! We can know Him as well as these that saw Him. If you don't have the interpretation of the Holy Spirit for a scripture you won't really get it! Pray for the Holy Spirit to show you truth! Fellowship with Christians deepens our fellowship with God! Fellowship with God is our purpose! Joy doesn't depend on what happens to you. God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. Embrace these: FJF fellowship, joy, forgiveness

Sunday September 4, 2005

Brother Joe Gentile presented this morning's sermon message.
The crucifixion
Reference Matthew 26:8, Mark 15:22, Mark 31:36
Jesus delights in the intent of our heart to serve the Father. If we are in sin and forget the crucifixion and resurrection where is our hope? Jesus endured the crucifixion for us! From the rich to the poor all through the world! Jesus chose to remain on the cross! He endured much to do the Father's will! Are we going to endure the small things to do the Father's will? Jesus forgives! He forgave his executioners! Jesus saves! He can save me! He can save you!

Pastor's Message Excerpts
God's Faithfullness
Reference Lamentations 3:18-26
Trouble? Remember one thing. God already knows and it's fixed! The body may die and God has given us a new home. Sin makes the cup of affliction bitter. If you are in sin weep for your condition and repent! Turn to Jesus! Cry out for His mercy. His unmerited favor, your unearned rewards. God will meet you with mercy and compassion right now! Seek Him, Wait for Him, Hope in Him. Trust Him.

August 14, 2005

Pastor's Message Excerpts
Reference Acts
We've got to have our focus on God! If we don't live by His will we don't believe what His word says to us! Believe in, to rely upon, to trust Him! I see people: Christians who don't believe! Good things I've seen recently around here is when Christians remove their masks and people are themselves whether good or not so good. It is not okay when you take your focus off of serving Him! Nobody in this church is a failure! The devil tries to tell us that all the time! Don't you believe it!

August 7, 2005

Visiting Preacher Message Excerpts
Message by Brother Philip Messer
Reference Acts 17
It may not seem like it but for the last 2000 years the church has been growing stronger and your sins are still under blood of Jesus! I thank God for our example in Christ! This Bible tells us all we need to know! We are Saints people! Not unto perfection but in that we are saved. Show thyself approved unto God! Evolution is a religion which takes much faith. The Bible tells us we are the offspring of God! Because He lives, We live! We don't have the promise of tomorrow. Today is the day of salvation when the Father is drawing you.

July 31, 2005

Pastor's Message Excerpts
Reference Acts 17:6
Turning the World Upside Down
The early church evangelized their world and they took the Great Commission seriously. Christians are a minority in the world. The world needs to see a church on fire for Christ. It is not enough to be fundamental and doctrinally sound! We may be found sound asleep! It is not enough to be Bible believing! You must have a fire in your heart! David Dawson said "So afraid of fire we have settled for no fire at all!" Two questions: Do we long for the fire and fellowship of New Testament believers? Are we willing to make their kind of surrender?

Sunday July 24, 2005

Pastor's Message Excerpts
Reference John 3:16
This scripture speaks for itself and explains God's plan. The only way your children will know how important God is to you is by your example. What God makes right is right! God's love never changes! Truth never changes! Faith doesn't come by big spriritual experiences but by hearing! We are even more blessed than Jesus' original disciples because we believe and have not seen! Let us return His love, Nothing can separate us from the love of God.

Sunday July 17, 2005

It might me good news
Reference Daniel 5, 1Peter 2:17, Proverbs 14:44
In their celebration and festive state of mind the people could not see the destruction coming. People claim to detest violence but raise their children to enjoy violence and to be entertained by it. Belshazzar wasn't concerned with God until he saw the writing on the wall.
Honor all men, Love the brotherhood, Fear God, Honor the King. Righteousness exalts a nation!

Pastor's Message Excerpts
God's Success Formula
Reference Proverbs 3:5,6, Mark 8:36, John 1:12
Financial security is not success. Fame and popularity are not success. What profit a man if he gain the whole world and loses his own soul? The Bible gives God's view on life. It imparts wisdom, it gives understanding, it brings light, it builds faith. Recognize the hand of God! In all thy ways acknowledge Him! Our Father loves us so much He told us in His Holy Word. We can read it and understand Him and really know his character and will.

Our motives for repentance: The Goodness of God, the Love of God, the escape of consequences of sin, and to enter into eternal life.

January 2, 2005
Happy New Year! The month of January begins the year with teaching of Stewardship. In Children's Church we learned of the gifts God has given each of us. We made an acrostic of our names and drew pictures of each along the right margin. (Bill=Bicycles, Icicles, lemons, lasagna)
